Sally W. Campbell
Executive Director
As Executive Director, Sally Campbell guides the daily administration of the Envision Central Texas project and works closely with the Board of Directors, bringing more than 30 years of business, communications and non-profit management experience to the organization.
From 1988 to 2004, Sally was employed at the North Texas Commission, a regional non-profit organization focused on improving the economy and quality of life of the 12-county Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. She served as senior vice president from 2000 to 2004, receiving awards and recognition for her writing, publication and marketing campaigns.
Sally was one of the founders of the North Texas Clean Air Coalition and helped create and direct a nationally recognized mentor-entrepreneur program that matches small, women and minority-owned businesses in North Texas with large business mentors. Campbell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Auburn University and a Graduate Marketing Certificate from Southern Methodist University.
As a former resident of Austin, Sally served as director of publications and public relations for St. Edward's University. She also was a feature writer for the Austin Business Journal and served as the first public relations director of Ballet Austin as it made its transition from amateur status as the Austin Civic Ballet. While in Austin, she was selected for Leadership Austin, received a University YWCA Leadership Award and was active in many civic and arts groups including Austin Junior Forum and the Ballet Austin Board of Directors.
Diane Miller
Assistant Director
Diane brings diverse skills in project management, communication and organizational effectiveness to Envision Central Texas (ECT). She fulfills a number of roles, including coordination of ECT's Implementation Committees, public involvement and events, and communication efforts among Envision Central Texas' board members and organizations throughout the community.
For seven years Diane worked as a commercial insurance account manager for Aon Corporation before transferring to their Pecos River Division to focus on a career in the arena of organizational change management. She continued her work in this field with Bijan International, and in 2000, she partnered the founding of RCR Discovery, LLC, an event planning and destination management service for corporate clients seeking adventure-based team-building experiences.
Her role with Envision Central Texas provides a unique opportunity to combine her professional expertise with her interest in collaborative, grass-roots efforts, which create a positive impact on the community. She is an advisory board member of Texas Forums, a network focused on revitalizing civic spirit and improving public discourse, and a graduate of the Leadership Austin class of 2005/2006. Diane has a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies degree from Excelsior College.
Wendy Peeples
Administrative Coordinator
In her role as Administrative Coordinator, Wendy supports the organization’s day-to-day operations by ensuring that the office functions smoothly and administrative tasks are handled in a timely and professional manner. Her organizational, communication and people skills are utilized over a broad range of responsibility areas including event planning, database management, correspondence processing and web site updates.
Wendy moved to Austin from Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2006. She has a background in customer service, data entry and office administration. She has an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and plans to continue her education.
